Having the same issue with Vortex 1 14 8 on a relatively new PC with Windows 11 Pro (24H2) installed with all the latest important Windows updates Here is the sequence of events: I get the Check Failed message (exactly the same as above) I click on "Fix" Vortex starts downloading the Desktop Runtime somewhere on my PC See attachment for screenshot (Where does it download it? Or is there a way to download the vortex mod manager from a year ago? The current vortex mod manager has too many unnecessary warnings, so I don't feel like using it

EDIT: Personally, I don't use this method to adjust load order in Vortex I let Vortex sort the plugins On the few occasions when I've had to fine tune the load order, I've use group assignments I mentioned this drag feature in Vortex only because (in my opinion) it's the easiest way to make a plugin rule, if you need to make one
