My GP WASR 10 63 trunnion has a date of 1966 with the arrow in the triangle and a serial number of RS 3465 For the record my serial number matches on major parts to include the correct flat sided bolt carrier and bolt

I think these are a huge step-up from the WASR if you want a bare bones factory made AKM since these are much more representative of a legit military rifle in terms of the receiver Someone like AK John could easily cut the faux auto detent selector and lightly touch up with some paint so you'd have a very good military clone

The WASR 2's do not have AIMS profile barrels unlike the SAR 2 other Romanian Imported rifles, so for anyone who is interested in converting one be warned I am sourcing new parts to give it its final look I have a lever Romy stock on it now but plan to source the push button stock, surplus steel mag, upswept bolt carrier and a proper aims "dong"
