Wiztree because it reads the Master File Table (MFT) that's written to by NTFS This is why it takes seconds versus minutes to load and doesn't have to look up anything It also uses way less memory and file handles to operate so less risk running it on a production system if in a corporate company environment

Wiztree - free- disk space analyser - I recommend this Occasionally I come across a program with which I very rapidly feel comfortable- a sense that it has been properly thought out, is fast, responsive, reliable and- of course- useful Wiztree is one such, and is much faster than Windirstat, which also has a few drawbacks

I found several comments to use this tool to easily find disk space on your PC and folders Windows doesn't show folder size, and you have to keep hovering over the folder or choose properties (alr + enter) You guys know this or use this? And is it great (safe)?

Hello! I've used Disk Inventory X and GrandPerspective But I've also used WizTree on my Windows machine and it is unbelievably fast Used to use WinDirStat there but Wiztree blows it away Is there anything anywhere near as fast as Wiztree but for mac? Thanks peeps

Whenever I see someone recommending a disk space usage analyzer, it seems most people by default recommend WinDirStat Is there a reason why WinDirStat is recommended over WizTree (e g licensing?) or is it just a lack of awareness about the existence of WizTree?
