I mean realistically something could happen General anesthesia is very powerful About 5 in 100 people experience moderate complications from anesthesia, like nausea, vomiting, allergic reactions, unexpected awareness during surgery ( which can cause ptsd) and cognitive impairment lasting less than a week

CRNAs are also the only anesthesia providers to have advocacy built into their curriculum Their national organization (AANA) is very loud in the political sphere They strongly oppose AA legislation, even in the face of a huge provider shortage, because they want a market monopoly
