One thing I have noticed that definitely makes a big difference is the quality of your regulator or flow meter I was using a older reg I had beaten on for years I switched to a newer flow meter and it was night and day, using less gas and its working much better

Help Porosity in Aluminum Welds Millermatic 211 Spoolgun I have a Millermatic 211 with a spool gun for aluminum I have it on 220V, using pure argon for shield gas, have all the setting per recommendations, welding 1 8” aluminum, properly cleaned as far as I have read I have played with every setting, gas pressures, etc and can’t get a weld with no porosity The welds still survive a hammer in the vice, but I want good clean welds Any thoughts?
