ATF+4 Choices and Amsoil | BobIsTheOilGuy I've read a few posts here and there stating that the Amsoil Multi AFT is not a good choice for Chrysler vehicles that require ATF+4 Why this is, I'm not sure What is the thoughts on this? Amsoil's site shows a comparison of the ATF+4 and Amsoil ATF protection after 100k and a tear down of the
Mobil 1 ATF Synthetic VS LV HP | BobIsTheOilGuy Synthetic ATF is a standard viscosity universal vehicle ATF, and Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP is a fluid specifically created to address torque converter shuddering issues in GM 8 speed transmissions, the black label version is old, the blue label version is the current GTL base with an Infineum add package to fix the hygroscopy issues the
ATF+3 vs. Atf+4? | BobIsTheOilGuy ATF+4 is pretty much a dealer item From what I understand there is difference and it may not be a good idea to try to substitute ATF+3 Call around to your local Chrysler,Dodge and jeep, dealers for the best price
Trying ATF in Harley primary | BobIsTheOilGuy But I'm loving the extra smoothness the ATF provides as you feather out the clutch when in gear Also, I'm no engineer but logic would make me guess there's nothing going on in a Harley primary in the way of plates, bearings, gears, etc that you don't see in cars trucks that use ATF for many times the OCI a Harley would see
More on ASRC Fluid | BobIsTheOilGuy I'm also curious about the ATF-0T4 fluid, as that's what my parts store said the cross-reference was for the transmission BUT, I haven't been able to find that Spec on ANYTHING Has anyone nailed down a fluid SPEC that is equivalent to ASRC fluid or Mobil 3309? I have a 2015 Ram 3500 with Aisin Trans My AS69RC Transmission dipstick handle says use "AS68RC" fluid Then the dipstick says use
Honda Multi-Vehicle ATF Comparison Chart | BobIsTheOilGuy I thought this would be helpful just for comparison sake I'd love to add more data to this, perhaps Castrol Import Forumula, Beck Arnley Z1, and the newer Blue bottle Valvoline Import formula (non hi-mi formula)
ATF: Amsoil Signature vs Toyota WS vs Idemitsu MaxLife ATF looks like a competitor to Amsoil and it is actually certified for use in Toyota Aisin transmissions, but it just doesn't get the same level of rave reviews and people claiming it fixed existing issues So I still think it's pretty much between OEM Toyota WS, Amsoil SS ATL, or Idemitsu's synthetic WS
What makes lifeguard 8 special? | BobIsTheOilGuy What makes this fluid special? Has anyone used Pentosin in these, or even Maxlife? I find it interesting that Valvoline says Maxlife will work in for Lifeguard 8 and other lifeguard fluids How can this be?
Amsoil Multi-Vehicle ATF? ATF+4? Debate settled?! Well Amsoil recommends their Multi-Vehicle ATF for ATF+4 applications, and their Fuel-Efficient ATF for Toyota WS applications This doesn't stop others from debating the ATF+4 compatibility though
