SONUS FABER BOOKSHELF SPEAKER ADVICE: Lumina II; Sonetto I; Sonetto II . . . Lumina II Sonetto I and or Sonetto II Venere 1 5 NEED: Bookshelf speakers with great musicality, in a normal living room, especially off-axis (I do not sit in a set position), front-ported I have recently heard and really liked a pair of older Sonus faber Cremona M stand-mounts, as well as KEF R3 (the KEF are out of our budget)
SONUS FABER BOOKSHELF SPEAKER ADVICE: Lumina II; Sonetto I; Sonetto II . . . I fear the Lumina II would sound more like the Lumina I than the Sonetto I, and that would be unwelcome Plus, I am definitely not into HT at all I will connect the stereo to the TV for sports, news, Netflix, but HT "quality sound" is really of minimal importance to me
Sonus Faber Sonetto II Measurements (now with a spinorama) On that note, the Sonetto family is the company's most affordable line of speakers The Sonetto II is a 2-way bookshelf with a 6 5-inch woofer, and it comes in at about $2,300 a pair (there's a 5-inch model at $1,800) That puts it in a very competitive price bracket, albeit a bit more expensive than the popular trio of the KEF R3, Buchardt S400, and Ascend Sierra 2EX For that premium though
Sonus Faber. . . the (excellent) Italian design really equal the audio . . . However, I can live with very much with the interesting design of quite a few Sonus Faber loudspeakers Due to their very recent appearance on the market I couldn't incorporate the Sonetto I and II G2 in my listenings sessions, and now there's also the Concertino which looks gorgeous
SONUS FABER BOOKSHELF SPEAKER ADVICE: Lumina II; Sonetto I; Sonetto II . . . Lumina II: really excellent, much "bigger" presence than the Lumina I and even gives very little away to the Sonetto I Definitely worth the cost increase vs Lumina I Sonetto I: I do prefer the larger size, the lute shape, and the piano black finish of Sonetto over Lumina I also think they sound a bit more developed, refined, balanced
SONUS FABER BOOKSHELF SPEAKER ADVICE: Lumina II; Sonetto I; Sonetto II . . . So the two contenders (I have heard both in shops 2 or 3 times) are Sf Lumina II, Sf Sonetto I, and Vandersteen VLR Wood Spendor A-1 and ProAc also come highly recommended but I will not buy a speaker I cannot first listen to in a shop and then in my home
Sonus Faber? - Audio Science Review (ASR) Forum Sonus Faber Sonetto II Measurements (now with a spinorama) Edit: Spins in this post Sonus Faber isn't a company I was ever all that interested in Their designs are beautiful, but they also clearly trend toward the luxury side of audio I tend to prefer (and therefore, more often review) speakers that give you the most audio quality bang for
Naim Unity Atom HE amplifier and speaker pairing Regarding the passive speaker options, I'm considering the SF Lumina II or, the Sonetto II driven by an Arcam PA240 or the Arcam Radia series My local dealer suggested Arcam vs NAD as a better match with the Atom HE, citing Class G as a significant advantage

Sonus Faber Sonetto II Measurements (now with a spinorama) It feels awfully disingenuous and borderline scam artist to pass off some newly minted company that hasn’t even been around for more than 20 years as having that same kind of prestige, just by being Italian Which company are you referring to? Sonus Faber is founded in 1983
