Best Baklava Recipe | SkiTalk | Ski reviews, Ski Selector Tricia Edit: I moved these posts from the funnies thread and added a poll You can choose 2 options in the poll Have fun! New Years resolution lasted 9 hours and 20 minutes A friend gifted us a wonderful baklava for Christmas Can't let it go to waste
Hoody for midlayer | SkiTalk | Ski reviews, Ski Selector Patagonia R1 Hoodie is the best piece of outdoor gear I own Warm, low profile, fits under helmet, has built-in facecover balaclava I wear it hiking, biking, snowshoeing, skiing, ice-climbing, etc I have a few of them The old version (prior to last year) had an off-center face zipper which is great for staying out of your mouth nose
The remedial baselayer midlayering tutorial! | SkiTalk | Ski reviews . . . Have you tried a thin balaclava in place of a hooded base layer? I use a wool one and it helps a lot I can't stand a hood because the loss of peripheral vision drives me crazy If it's snowing, I will wear a hood but not otherwise I also can't abide anything binding around my neck The balaclava doesn't feel that way
Racing helmet recommendation for first year U14 boy - SkiTalk 2) should he plan to wear a balaclava underneath and if so, what is the proper sort for racing? Thanks so much! Face coverings are a personal preference If you go for the full coverage head sock, make sure the portions that sit under the helmet are thin so as not to cause helmet fit issues
Kulkea Thermal Trekker, how do you use yours? - SkiTalk I put my helmet, my gloves and my balaclava in the middle section The heating from the boots warms them up and I appreciate a warm helmet and gloves - you may too if you try it
Which ski Helmet do you use? | Page 5 | SkiTalk | Ski reviews, Ski Selector The flexible segmented design of the Anti-Ordinary is interesting, seems to eliminate the need for any dial-type fit adjuster, supposedly helmet sits closer to head It is also interesting to think what other head covering you could adapt to this Balaclava? Fur trappers' hat? Stetson?
zipperred ski jacket for helmet hood - SkiTalk I set up the hood for just my expedition weight balaclava plus goggles (sans helmet) beneath the hood and noted that allowed much freer movement and was an additional reason beyond being warmer for preferring to do so cold storm skiing versus the hood over helmet
Compression Socks | Page 2 | SkiTalk | Ski reviews, Ski Selector ps get the Milspec balaclava from Dissent while you're there - comfortable, full face cover for those seriously cold days, doesn't freeze over at the mouth (don't know how it manages that) and no breath steaming up your goggles
Dermizax® NX Question | SkiTalk | Ski reviews, Ski Selector The higher end ones feature a balaclava built into an interior zipped pocket at the back below the collar which feels like you grew a hunchback! Kjus collar's are unnecessarily thick They feel like a neck brace and are on the lower side heightwise, about to the jaw One high end model had a higher collar which was again too thick and stiff
