How does logging into AD send passwords? I'm unclear on whether the netlogon process encrypts the users password before sending it to the domain controller The reason I am asking is because my Information Assurance folks are asking that I use 636 for every connection to AD However, I am trying to get out of it because we don't have any sensitive information in the directory ie ssn's or hr data
