Garmin zumo xt isnt recognized on basecamp - Adventure Rider My new Zumo XT is connected to Garmin Express and must be connected in some way to Basecamp because Basecamp downloaded the maps from the XT However, it doesn't show under "My Devices" or in Finder on the Mac Garmin says some GPS units (like the XT) may not be recognized and needs "special software", but doesn't say what that might be

Nav V and Base Camp for dummies: How to import tracks and convert to . . . BaseCamp vs. Mapsource - Adventure Rider Basecamp has at least one major advantage over Mapsource and that's that you don't need the actual maps on your computer If you attach a Nuvi, for example, to your PC and fire up BaseCamp it will read and use the maps that are preinstalled on the GPS

Mapsource vs. Basecamp - Adventure Rider I undestand that BaseCamp is supposed to let you edit maps and routes that are direclty on the Zumo, while looking through the PC Who wants to have to keep the Zumo plugged in to the laptop? I like creating and editing, then uploading into the device Some egghead got an idea to do something different and it is supposed to be better?
