Company News:
  • Blade Runner and Alien share the same Universe? - ResetEra
Alien, Blade Runner, Predator, and Soldier, quite the stupid shared universe we got going on here Can't wait to see what Time Travel property they rope into this to explain the Xenomorphs being on an ancient Earth circa AVP
  • Settling this once and for all. Blade Runner or Blade Runner 2049?
However, Blade Runner was far more groundbreaking, influential, and, although I hate the term, iconic The world Blade Runner created was pretty much the prototype for what would become cyberpunk, especially visually The visuals are a strike against 2049 in my book too
  • Denis Villeneuve vs. Christopher Nolan | Page 2 | ResetEra
Both made a bunch of amazing movies though For me, Nolan did a better job with his take on a big existing franchise (Batman) Vs Villeneuve (Blade Runner and Dune), although Enemy, Prisoners and Arrival are up there with Nolan's best works Gun to my head, I'll pick Nolan, but it's close Edit: and The Prestige is the best movie between them both
  • Dolby Vision Streaming vs HDR10 4K Blu-ray Disc Comparison . . . - ResetEra
SDR is 100 nits, Blade Runner 2049 spends most of its time above that, in the ~150 nit range SDR uses the Rec 709 colorspace, Blade Runner 2049 is mastered for Display P3 The movie was shot in 3 4K and mastered at 4K The SDR disc is 1080p (2K) The SDR disc has a 5 1 DTS-HD track, the HDR disc has a 7 1 TrueHD + Atmos track
  • Which sci-fi franchise has the better first or second movie?
Alien Blade Runner T2 Alien and Blade Runner had great sequels, but dat Ridley Scott atmosphere and visual style is just too hard to beat Especially with Blade Runner I mean there's a reason any sort retrowave, grimy sci-fi cyberpunk media is still aping the first Blade Runner 43 years later
  • Denis Villeneuve vs. Christopher Nolan - ResetEra
Denis, clean Sicario, Arrival, Blade Runner, both Dunes What a run Interstellar is fucking phenomenal, but it's the only one I'm putting with those
  • [CNN] Teslas Cybertruck is officially a flop | Page 5 | ResetEra
My favourite thing was when he said "it's the type of car Blade Runner would drive" you know, Blade Runner, the name of Harrison Ford's character in that movie The dystopia future movie Blade Runner? The one with vast pollution and homelessness ran by the few super corporations rich people?
  • Reseteras Best Films of the 1980s | Page 3 | ResetEra
Was listening to a podcast with Richard Shepard and 1982 alone has an insane amount of excellent pictures: Blade Runner Shoot the Moon Fitzcarraldo Poltergeist E T The Thing Querelle Pink Floyd: The Wall The Draughtman's Contract Creepshow The Year of Living Dangerously Tootsie
  • Got a WB DVD made between 2006-08? Probably doesnt work any . . . - ResetEra
That's a bummer about the Blade Runner 4-disc set, I don't think those additional versions of the film got a physical release on Blu or 4K, only the Final Cut? I also have the Batman Animated Series Vol 2 on DVD but been meaning to upgrade to Blu for that, so that's not as big of a deal
  • Recommend Me Cyberpunk Anime Series - ResetEra
Something like Blade Runner or Deus Ex, but in anime form It's worth noting that I have Psycho-Pass already so feel free to give me other suggestions
