To Pillar Bed Or Not To Pillar Bed - Shooters Forum My question is, do I really need to pillar bed it when putting it in a Boyd's laminate stock? The only reason I ask is my 243 Win is bedded in a Boyd's stock with no pillars and it has served me well the past 10+ years
Issues with my new Boyd stock. - Shooters Forum My experience with Boyd's is it's the bottom If you don't have any inletting black, or other "transfer" medium- try taking a small piece of masking tape that'll fit down into the very bottom of the inlet, and place it sticky side up and see if it makes contact

CZ 457 AT ONE--FIXED! | Shooters Forum I did bed under the barrel about one inch forward--I really think that helped a little Good job Been there, done that with Pete’s pillars but i used the slimline ones which are “only” 7 16” - which is still too big IMO for the 457 Boyd’s
