Discuss Detroit: Rednecks I think it was called the Chevy Plant So when I hear the words "car factory", I am reminded of how a little girl, born in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, shuffled back and forth between there and the mountains of West Virginia, on to the Allegahny mountain region of Pennsylvania landed in such a flat, big Metro Area we all call Detroit!
