  • Hobby Lobby Fabric? - The Quilting Forum - Missouri Stars Quilt Community
Re: Hobby Lobby Fabric? Nice to hear good reviews so far I was impressed with the fabric -- for it not being a quilt shop -- and hoping the fabric I purchased washes well and will make for good quilting fabric They had several prints that I have seen online from either fabric com or elsewhere -- including some Wizard of Oz themed fabric
  • Hobby Lobby PreCuts - The Quilting Forum - Missouri Stars Quilt Community
Re: Hobby Lobby PreCuts Fabric Palette is the same brand you get at Walmart here in Canada, not sure about in the US though I've also seen quilt shops selling FQ's by the same company but would not pay more than Walmart is charging I'm using the "Paloma" line for my Farmer's Wife Granddaughter quilt, and the fabric is actually nice
  • Hobby Lobby Fabric? - The Quilting Forum - Missouri Stars Quilt Community
Re: Hobby Lobby Fabric? I have been generally pleased with the fabric from HL Their prices are reasonable and "always 30%off" so you can't use the 40% coupon available online or in the newspaper They do not have a huge selection but a decent amount of basics Their religious moral beliefs don't affect me one way or another
  • Sew-ology Thread - The Quilting Forum - Missouri Stars Quilt Community
I was recently at Hobby Lobby and saw that Coats and Clarks thread is on clearance and there is a new rack for Sewology Thread Has anyone used this brand? How would you rate the quality? Sew-ology thread is not suitable for hand quilting, very thick, hard to thread, draggy, twists very badly
  • Hobby lobby - Fly Fishing - Maine Fly Fish
Research Hobby Lobby’s practices, especially if you have any women in your family Try Michael’s, or any other craft shop if you don’t want to pay fly shop practices
  • Soft and Stable vs. Pellon FF77 stabilizer - The Quilting Forum . . .
On a side note, the other day I found that Hobby Lobby has 40% coupons online that you can print out and use in the store, once a day I used it on 971F which is much denser than 987F, but I have not used it yet
  • Kona Cotton - The Quilting Forum - Missouri Stars Quilt Community
Re: Kona Cotton I have been happy with the few quilting fabrics purchased at Hobby Lobby -- all have been prints (Wizard of Oz and other novelty) Someone previously posted on this forum in past year or so that they thought different Kona fabric was sold at chain vs quilt stores I cannot confirm By the way -- I prefer Bella Solids over Kona; I just don't like the weight and feel of Kona as
  • Fusible fleece instead of batting? - The Quilting Forum - Missouri Star . . .
Insul-Bright is great for for hot pads, oven mits, etc I use the warm-n-white (or warm-n-natural) for placemats, table runners, etc I double layer for hot pads and table runners, I single layer for placemats I buy mine at my local fabric store (JoAnns, Hobby-Lobby, etc) hope that helps K McEuen Super Moderator Missouri Star
  • LQS quilt fabric vs Joann hobby lobby fabric - Jenny Doan
Have seen decent fabrics at Joanne, Hancock, and Hobby Lobby had a very nice selection of homespun that I used for shower curtains The only problem with said stores is they follow fashion and some of the new fabric is not to my taste to put it mildly At least online you can find a fabric house with more traditional prints and colors
  • hobby lobby - Fly Tying - Maine Fly Fish
Less useful tying stuff than I expected but I found a couple of things
