Cdi wiring help - Blue Traxx Forum My CDI box has 12 wires and I believe it is a 90-95 also my stator has 7 wires please any help is much appreciated a CDI box wiring diagram with wire description particularly would be awesome Thanks
87 yamaha warrior no spark issue - Blue Traxx Forum Now I know you can't really test a CDI BOX, but i tried the following test just to see the results Multimeter 20k volts: POS to cdi orange wire - NEG to Coil orange wire = (-1 74)- (-1 85) constantly changing volts when cranking engine over If i swap the Multimeter connecters i get a positive reading
Can I put any year wiring harness, stator, CDI, etc. . . I noticed on my 2001 that I bought, the CDI is a very old style Also the stator-to-wire-harness connections are made by crimp connectors This would mean the plugs wouldnt have matched up so he cut the wires and spliced them by hand Basically will any year CDI, STATOR, HARNESS, work with any year bike if the wires are spliced like this?
89 Yamaha Big Bear 350 ignition help - Blue Traxx Forum Hi, first time poster, but long time fan So, I purchased a '89 Yamaha Big Bear 350 4x4 that cant start due to a suspected bad CDI module (on their part), though I've found electrical problems throughout, which are probably telling me that the CDI module is actually good I have the service manual and was able to check the resistance on various coils, and have already replaced a bad ignition
1987 Warrior No Spark - Blue Traxx Forum got a 1987 warrior 350, getting no spark out of the ign coil, ive done all the test and everything comes back fine, ive tried different stators, cdi boxes, rectifiers new key switch, and kill switch but i noticed that i would get 35v AC out of the red and brown wire coming from the stator
