  • 2inch, 4inch?. . . how can I measure my Cjs lift height?
Hey there, Beware noob question! My CJ has 33" Mudzilla, and had the lift before I bought it, so I really dont know what my lift height is Im planning to get new shocks thats the reason I need to know my lift Thanks in advance
  • CJ to YJ leaf swap? - Jeep Enthusiast Forums
I'm curious about BDS yj springs compared to the cjs I'm running currently running 33's and it's already been lifted once I'm not looking to regear So do yjs ride better? compared to cjs? How much lift did you get from the BDS 4" springs? There's a video on the tube and this guys jeep
  • OEM Radio - Jeep Enthusiast Forums
So just doing a little research for fun I am wondering about factory radios that came in cjs from 76-86 Does anyone know if there was only one radio option or were ther different models to choose from? Does anyone know any years when radio models changed Lastly, anyone who has a original
  • cj7 vs tj - Jeep Enthusiast Forums
I really want a CJ7 but was told that unless I want to be fixing it up and dumping a bunch of money into the Jeep Id be better off getting a TJ IMO the CJs look so much better than the TJs I want to get a middle of the road CJ7 (if there is such a thing) Not something that is too expensive
  • CJ-7 Proportioning Valve. . . | Jeep Enthusiast Forums
On the CJs YJs, I've seen both the one pictured and the one described My 75 CJ-6 has one like pictured (with the mount bracket) Seeing yours is a 76, I would say it IS stock My other later years CJs all have the OEM two hole type The YJ went back to the older style (pre76), but with no mount bracket and it hung in the air neear the master When my 75 CJ P valve started leaking, I used a YJ
  • 84 85 86 CJ7 Wiring Diagrams Easy to Read - Jeep Enthusiast Forums
Hello I made these files to help with 2 cjs Im working on I hope others can use them I've found alot of good info here and I want to do my part to contribute The ones in the electronic version of the 84-86 CJ7 FSM thats been repeatedly posted are all chopped up onto different
  • 82-86 4-speed Transmission Options w 258 - Jeep Enthusiast Forums
The research I've done shows that the later CJs switched to the 354 being the standard gears with the 4 cyl and the 4 10 gears were optional Again with both your buddies and mine being a t4, the 354 gears make sense and follow my logic from above
  • AMC 360 Exhaust Manifolds - Jeep Enthusiast Forums
FINALLY wrapped up my 360 build The last step was coating and installing the exhaust manifolds, which absolutely included an instagram post The man, the myth, the legend, amcjeepman sent me a DM saying the manifolds might not work because they're '80 and later instead of '79 and earlier
  • Jeep CJ Steering Upgrade MUST READ! - Jeep Enthusiast Forums
As many know, the stock thin 1 8" steel plate steering brackets for the CJs can crack and warp, thus making them inherently weak and even worse when paired with 33" and larger tires My Jeep rides on 35" super swamper TSLs, so this popping noise as I turned the wheel was no surprise
  • YJ and CJ Frame and Body Interchangeability? - Jeep Enthusiast Forums
Thanks That's along the lines of what I remembered reading awhile back, that a few body mounts were different And in my case, putting a CJ grill on a YJ chassis without at least 1" body lift means making a small cutout in the bottom left of the grill to clear the higher steering box and hoses attached at the top of the box Putting the YJ body onto a CJ chassis shouldn't have that problem
