Dayton in the 60s and 70s - DAYTON HISTORY BOOKS Other long closed places are the Frisch's and Ponderosa at the corner of Main and Nottingham, the Dunkin' Donuts and Pizza Hut which are now payday advance places and of course, Shearers (my favorite ice cream place) Dayton Band moved further north on Main but it's now closed also
Village Bakery owners I grew up in Trotwood and remember the bakery well Wish I knew where the owners or thier families are They had the best chocolate iced jelly filled donuts! Dayton in the 60s and 70s - DAYTON HISTORY BOOKS In my neck of the woods, at the Spin-Kemp Shopping Center, we had a Super Duper Grocery with the best bakery great donuts and fresh-baked Italian bread We used to go buy a loaf for a dime or something ridiculous! LOL We also had Houser's Pharmacy I bought a whole lot of baseball cards there
East Dayton Linden Ave Further down 3rd at S Philadelphia was Bill's Donuts which was right next door to the Christian Bookstore On the NE corner was a Radio Shack in the 70s At the SW corner was a Bonded filling station And yeah, the V bar was across 3rd from Winters bank at Springfield and 3rd
