Help Porosity in Aluminum Welds Millermatic 211 Spoolgun I have a Millermatic 211 with a spool gun for aluminum I have it on 220V, using pure argon for shield gas, have all the setting per recommendations, welding 1 8” aluminum, properly cleaned as far as I have read I have played with every setting, gas pressures, etc and can’t get a weld with no porosity The welds still survive a hammer in the vice, but I want good clean welds Any thoughts?

TA 211i Tig welding TA 211i Tig welding Am trying to decide between the Miller 211 and a Thermal Arc 211i I can lay an OK MIG bead, but know very little about TIG When would you use an AC TIG unit over MIG? Most of the TIG welds I've see have been aluminum, which the TA can't do
