Dynamat - What is it? Do I need it? How do I install it properly? Dynamat is sound deadener It's basically what they stuff into the doors of nice trucks that advertise "quiet cab " I've been in a few cars with it and it's much nicer than mine However, it depends on how loud your truck is to begin with If you have 33"s and a roof rack, it will make a difference because those are noisy If you don't, you'll barely notice a change If you do it correctly
Dynamat single, double, or triple layer make a difference? And where to . . . Has anyone company actually taken the time to lay down a cheaper brands sound deadening, test the outside decibel levels and stereo frequency response, then rip out the cheaper stuff and replace it with dynamat (expensive stuff) and compared the hard data?
Sound Deadening SoundShield or Dynamat - Tacoma World Dynamat is just living off its name from the lat 90's early 2000's Stinger Roadkill is a Less expensive and probably a better product Soundshield is a "better" version of Soundskins I didn't bother getting the whole story with soundskins, but its something along the lines of 2 partners splitting up (possibly one screwing over the other)

Using dynamat in convertible - For C Bodies Only Classic Mopar Forum I am aware that Scott with his beautiful 1965 spanish red 300 used some sound deadening material like dynamat or a similar product in his convertible, so perhaps he could chime in on its effectiveness One way to deal with the trunk noise is to do what Chrysler did, and put a full blanket of a cheaper sound deadener (in their case) behind the rear seat to seal off the trunk noise from entering
Help me pick out sound deadening materials on Amazon most stick with the 80 mil kilmat or siless version off Amazon the 80mil thickness is similar to dynamat any of the foam products, i'm not entirely convinced are beneficial in the vehicle environment for anything less than a competition-level setup
