Why am I not getting 2gb speeds to my router? - Google Fiber Community So I've done the google fiber speed test multiple times I assume this is the speed to the router and I'm only getting about 500-600mbps when I'm on the 2gb plan When I used speedtest net on my hard wired Surface Pro I'm only getting 150-200mbps When I had the WOW 1gb plan I would get 700-850mbps on a hard wired connection Anyone else seeing Google fiber underperform?
Does the google wifi router provide power over ethernet (POE) My current google fiber has a fiber jack that is powered by the network box When the network box is eliminated with the new google wifi router, my fiber jack will need to be powered via ethernet I have not seen any information indicating that the new wifi router will be capable of POE The other option seems to be relocating the fiber jack so it can be plugged into a 110 volt outlet
