New Balance 990 alternatives??? : r Sneakers - Reddit The 990 really is one of a kind for support and comfort The closest model to it for NB is the 1540 The main difference is that the 1540 has a wider waist and includes a ROLLBAR in the heel That will increase stability support but the rollbar stiffens up the shoe and can make it harder Another good model would be the 940 as a lightweight option

New Balance 2002r vs 990v3 : r Newbalance - Reddit For pure comfort, a lot of people have said the 993 takes the cake over any of the 990 models The 990v5 and 990v6 are both apparently pretty comfortable, but they feel different since they have different cushioning systems (990v5 is more stable and 990v6 is more bouncy I think) My personal ranking for style would be 990v3 > 993 > 990v6 > 990v5
990v4 sizing surprise : r Newbalance - Reddit All 990 models fit different, I don't own any v1 or v2 cuz they're just not worth it for me but my v3s i go half down, v4 i go tts and v5s only fit me right in half down but 2E wide sizing, I find tts to be too narrow and too long I did hella research before I bought my jjjjound 990v4 and finally decided to go tts and I'm so thankful I did
