Company News:
  • Adding hops to mead - Homebrew Talk
Hiya Silencemort - and welcome I occasionally make a hopped mead and because I make 1 gallon batches I tend to use 0 5 oz of hops per gallon My preference is to boil the hops in water (NOT in the must - mead ain't beer and boiling honey boils off flavor and aroma ) Hops do not need sugar to utilize the oils acids But preferable is a slightly acidic water so I might drop a little lemon
  • Zork Corks? | Page 2 | Homebrew Talk - Beer, Wine, Mead, Cider . . .
I'm having troubles with leakage this is first time i've used them It looks like the zorks are leaking in the little hole that you can see in the seam of the part you peel off Haven't been able to find any info on this issue Not sure if i'm doing something wrong or what?? I had high hopes
  • Using American Oak Chips - Amounts and Techniques
I have 4 oz of French oak chips soaking in Myers dark rum as prescribed and I have high hopes for the oak characteristic being a plus for this big, dark, beer full of vanilla, cinnamon, pineapple and rum flavors
  • Dry Yeast and Rates for 1. 070+ IPA - Homebrew Talk
Overall, I just want to make sure that I pitch enough quality yeast to ensure that I get the job done, and I want to make sure I'm doing it right I really have high hopes for this batch, and I'm really looking forward to any opinions tips thoughts anyone might have Thanks all, cheers!
  • Beer from Horse Feed? - Homebrew Talk
No idea what horse feed is, but one of the shampoos my wife uses is some horse mane and tail stuff So if she can use a horse product, maybe you? Go ahead and make beer from it and report back here I don't have high hopes for you, and frankly I don't understand the motivation, but I've got this wife
  • Pink growth | Homebrew Talk - Beer, Wine, Mead, Cider Brewing . . .
Several bacteria produce pink tones like that Some occur in cheesemaking but it's also what makes your shower turn pink around the edge of the tub But that is really just a guess Personally I would not have high hopes for this beer but you know what it tastes and smells like I'd try to fish that whole thing out and see if more grow in its
  • Omega Labs Bayern Lager vs. Octoberfest - Homebrew Talk
My recent go-to has been White Labs WLP-860 Currently lagering a Helles that I have high hopes about I've been struggling for years, trying to perfect my Helles, and think I may have finally nailed it I'm actually a little afraid to tap the keg, fearing that it may come up short of expectations
  • Danstar London ESB Dry Ale Yeast - Anyone use it yet?
I have high hopes for it myself I am genuinely surprised that us Canucks are getting this before our American neighbours I will let you know how it turns out! Lallemand is a Canadian company I guess it's one of the rare occasion we'll ever get something first!
  • Ribena wine | Homebrew Talk - Beer, Wine, Mead, Cider Brewing . . .
I'll post again when as this moves along I have very high hopes for a wonderful currant tasting wine I will probably fortify it into a port, still haven't made up my mind on that part yet
  • Growing in the Texas panhandle - Homebrew Talk
I have high hopes for the Cascade and Multihead, but I'm going to have to keep a close eye on the Mt Hood Learning from previous gardening disasters, I made sure to provide light shade with some white cotton sheets and so far they have not shocked Likely will start fertilizing with osmocote next week once they have established
