Sounds like the service department is full of you know what No manufacturer uses break in oil anymore because modern full synthetic oils are far superior to any break in oil that was used decades ago However the oil filter maybe different from the factory vs what is sold as a replacement When my F-150 was new the factory filter was double the size of the replacement used for oil changes
