How to convert . sup subtitle to . srt or . sub . idx? : r ffmpeg SRT and VTT are text-based subtitles, HDMV PGS ( sup) subtitles are image-based So you'd have to OCR the subtitles to convert to those formats You can probably convert them to VobSub ( idx sub) with FFmpeg but I don't think it can directly output to IDX SUB, so you'll have to store it in a temporary Matroska file before using mkvextract to extract them into a pair of sub idx files ffmpeg
