Rage is an ease-in mechanic It's there to help hunters get comfortable with the monsters basic moveset at basic speed and power Monsters are only constantly enraged if you are already so comfortable that you deal pretty much constant damage and exploit every opening Which means you don't really even need the ease-in anyway
