Best new water pump? - Jeep Enthusiast Forums It's expensive because you have to get it either from the dealership or from one of the few auto parts stores that carry the Zerex G-05 (which is the same thing as the dealership stuff, just different dye package, I don't recall whether it is pink or orange), but IMHO is worth it for any Jeep you intend to keep for 10 years or more

It's basically a stick of putty, you break off a piece and put in and around the leak and then let it dry That is if you can get to the leak I've done it, a long time ago, and actually it lasted until I sold the vehicle a couple years latter Just about any auto parts store like Autozone or Kragen sells it It's only a few bucks
