Poor mans lobster… worth the hype??? | Michigan Sportsman Forum Pike is better than walleye doing poor man’s lobster, but doing it with burbot is substantial better than either of those Using chunks of burbot backstrap, it actually gets a similar texture to lobster and doesn’t just flake apart

Poor mans lobster… worth the hype??? - Michigan Sportsman Forum I night fish and catch burbot quite a bit through the ice I’ve deep fried it, baked it, pan fried with butter but my favorite thing to do is make a “Poor Man’s Lobster Roll ” I’ll find a good place to buy some hogies from or use kings Hawaiian rolls Little bit different than your typical lobster roll but still delicious
Sheeps Head??? | Michigan Sportsman Forum He boiled them in water for a few minutes, then we dipped them in butter before eating them Kinda like a "poor man's lobster " They weren't too bad, but still they're not lobster They're a lot like catfish they taste better than they look! Good things come to those who bait -- WALLEYEvision Reply Save Bucket-Back Premium Member· #7

Freshwater Drum (Sheepshead) - Michigan Sportsman Forum Someone told me it's the poor man's lobster if it's cooked right So many other good eating fish I've never tried As far the fish eating regulations here it goes If you are saying to follow those you better not be eating fast food or drinking anything from the corner store I'd be way more worried about that stuff than a couple extra fish
