Aces High Film - theaerodrome. com It's fun to watch them stunting in those 7 8-scale Slingsby SE-5a replicas If you haven't seen it, it's worth checking out I think they were Stampe SV4 biplanes converted by Bianchi to resemble the S E 5a and known as Stampe SV5a
Aces High, Movie, 1976 - IMCDb. org Definitely a Belgian Stampe - it looks very much like a Tiger Moth A museum near here has a Stampe and an RAF and I saw both in May this year The SE5a flew as part of the display
Aces High SE. 5As? - Key. Aero After a brief discussion with a work colleague yesterday about the actual aircraft in the film Aces High; I was left a little bemused about what the 'SE 5As' actually where I claimed them to be SV 4s while my colleague claimed them to be Currie Wots
Aces High (1976) - Goofs - IMDb Aces High (1976) - Factual errors - What are supposed to be SE-5 aircraft are modified 1930's era Tiger Moths The SE-5 did not have swept wings or round wingtips
Aces High [Archive] - PaperModelers. com From some angles the SE5as look pretty good, but every time they bank, you see the tapered leading edges of the wings, so I suspect some sheet-metal work with Tiger Moths or Jungmeisters And both Eindekkers and Avro 504s would have been long obsolete, so should not have appeared in the film
Aces High | Internet Movie Plane Database Wiki | Fandom Genuine Finnish aircraft VL (Valtion Lentokontehdas) Viima II restored in 1970-73, and used as German airplane of the WWI The red colour is actually unrealistic Only the Von Richthofen fighter had this colour during the 1st world war
S. e. 5a - No 74 Tiger Squadron, Clairmarais 1918. Next project in the pipeline: Ever since i watched 'Aces High' (1976 tv movie) I have always wanted to do this diorama I think the film catches the atmosphere of the RFC during WWI! Although the 'Aces High' film is showing it's age today, it stayed with me and did make a lasting impression on me
Aces High [Archive] - The Aerodrome Forum Loosely based on the play and Film, "Journeys End", it featured some excellent footage of SE5s, but to a purist like me I had wished they'd taken as much care and attention to accuracy with their German aircraft
