Marlin rifle serial numbers | The High Road Is there a website with Marlin serial numbers and years of manufacture? I got a "new" 39A Mountie and would like to see when it was made
Value of Weaver B4 | The High Road I have a very early 1960s production Marlin 39 Mountie and the scope looks perfect on it My son remarked that the image was clearer and sharper and most of the 22 scopes you see today
9422 vs 39a | The High Road Click to expand The 39A Mountie is the same size as the 9422 My 9422 is an XTR and is 22 Magnum Between the 9422 and the 39A neither is a mistake but I would probably grab the 9422 Both are all steel heirloom quality rifles with no black painted or faux brass plated Zamak pot metal like the Henry Last edited: Nov 18, 2023 ms6852 czhen
What did you shoot today? | Page 157 | The High Road Today I went out and shot its 1966 little sibling, the 39A Golden Mountie my Dad gave me I paired it up with the Browning SA-22, and Ruger 22 45, for an inexpensive range trip
anschutz volquartsen | The High Road The kind of ammo that does justice to these guns is too expensive for spraying with a semiauto anyway I'd pay for the quality of the Anschutz over the glorified 10 22, even though the Volquartsen is a neat gun
Savage lever action | Page 2 | The High Road IMHO, the Henry lever 22 LR's are lacking in quality Cheap, painted over metal reciever, plastic barrel bands ( subject to cracking or breaking) and front sight? I don't know if the savage is an improvement over the Henry, and it really doesn't matter I'm pretty happy with my 9422 laminated
Browning semi auto . 22 rifle coincidence? | The High Road Hi, I am currently considering buying another Browning semi-auto 22 takedown The serial number of the one I have is xxxxxT47 I am in contact with 3 different people, none of whom are selling on an auction site, that have one of these rifles to sell Every one of them has a serial
Whats your favorite lever action rifle? | The High Road I've always been a huge fan of the lever action rifle To me, they're practical for nearly any of one's firearm needs, not to mention the classic nature of their design What is your favorite lever action rifle and or preferred chambering of that rifle? My personal favorite has to be the Marlin
Obliged to search? | The High Road Golly, so much for "Sgt Preston of the Yukon" and other mountie icons of the past! I know Canada isn't the US, but they do share our common English legal heritage of warrants for search and "every Englishmen's home is his castle " I will always remember the friendly treatment I get from Canadian border cops
Marlin Glenfield Model 60 | The High Road I too have a glenfield 60 that i just got from my Dad (along with a Win 22mag pumy, and old '39 Rem Targetmaster 22, and a Marlin 39a Golden Mountie Is there some place that you can point me to learn how to disassemble this rifle?
