Mouse setup on XPlane - X-Plane 12 Technical Support - X . . . You need a custom driver or other software to recognize your mouse as a game controller to get X-Plane to see the extra buttons directly (In this respect, it's still stuck in the past where a mouse has three buttons tops I suppose we're lucky it can see a scroll wheel )

Most people use TrackIR or Trackhat for looking around i use a Logitec mouse with a side button set to space bar which allows me to move around pan and zoom with the mouse wheel I have a TrackIR but don't use it much instead opting for my Chaseplane camera presets which get me around my PMDG cockpits as fast as I can move my head

It's takes a bit of calibration and I'm not sure, yet, if I will continue to use it I use three monitors and so can't see the instrument panel below the 'dashboard' I'll probably save up and buy a wide but not stupidly wide new screen Looks weird, 'cos of bezels and angled screens
