Whats occuring in Venice beach California fishing pier Ventura Pier and Redondo Pier are way better options, but if you have to go to the Venice Beach tourist trap I guess it is what it is If you go down to Redondo I believe you need a one day license to fish it, but the others mentioned you don't need one unless there has been a very recent rule change
