Hockey players: where do you get your skates sharpened? Hi all, I'm picky about my skates, and my main guy is the dude at Dulude Arena But he closes down at the end of March Looks like I'm in for summer hockey, so where to take my skates now? In the past, I've heard that Play-It-Again in Kanata is good, but not sure if that's still valid I live in central Ottawa and work in Kanata, so anywhere between those areas is convenient

Play It Again Sports is the chain with the best selection if you have one nearby You can get better deals online but if you are just buying a couple discs shopping in person isn't a bad idea, just liking how one plastic feels over another is a good reason to throw those types of discs

I had a great experience at Play it again sports on St Anne's, had some barely used skates originally bought for $105 from Sportchek Tried selling on Kijiji and FB marketplace but everyone wanted me to deliver and would only offer $50 Went to play it again sports and they offered me $30 cash or $70 store credit

From my experience, I found that skates like Bauer or CCM that are on sale at Canadian Tire offer the best value We've gotten skates at Play It Again Sports but have found that, aside from limited selection sizes, the pricing is only a little less than getting them new on sale at Canadian Tire
