What happened to the ultimate performance option? So I did a security update on my laptop recently and went to use it today but when I went to the power options in the control panel the intimate performance option was gone and there was no dropdown to show the hidden options I even did the usual steps to bring it back where you paste in a command to bring it back and still nothing

So in the control panel, I found this power plan section I usually always charge my computer as I use it so I choose the high-performance plan, but it uses more energy so when I don't charge my computer and use it I want it to change to hp recommended power plan that doesn't use as much energy as the high-performance plan

In your Control Panel go to Power Options > select "High performance" > "Change plan settings" > "Change advanced plan settings" In the advanced plan settings: Processor Power Management > Minimum processor state > set to 5% (You should see an immediate drop in fanspeed and a gradual decrease in computer temperature)
