Help- Deciding on a new boat- Never knew itd be this tough A gatortail, gatortrax, prodrive, prodigy, uncle J, deadfowl, and maybe one or two others make boats built to perform well and last a very long time You pay more but you won't have a boat that looks like crumpled paper after a year and can't haul a buddy with you
Prodigy Boats | Duck Hunting Forum Been doing some research and looking at other boats out there, there is a company in Jasper Georgia called Prodigy Boats and from the looks of it are some great built and nice looking boats
Hull thickness - . 100 or . 125? | Duck Hunting Forum Don't hunt many stump fields so curious as to thoughts on whether a 125" hull out of 5086 is needed or if a 100" made from 5052 is sufficient for breaking 1" or less ice Many boats out there with the 100 hulls but would likely have to go new to find the heavier 125" - fine with that if
Outboard or Surfsce Drive??? | Duck Hunting Forum Prodigy is built near OP and there are dozens of 1 year old prodigy's and other SDs floating around classifieds because the Georgia owners realize they don't have the need for one, don't understand the maintenance required on a surface drive, and all of a sudden are upside down and in debt for a boat they don't need to shoot the minimal birds

Best dual purpose rig- hunting and fishing - Duck Hunting Forum The second option would be a 1754 or 1854 mud boat custom built by Prodigy boats with a Gator Tail mud motor This would obviously be the best choice for duck hunting, but I'm afraid would be the worst choice for fishing I'm concerned mainly about the lack of speed and the noise of the motor, plus I'm afraid the wind would blow it around pretty bad when trying to run the trolling motor and
Boat Shopping | Duck Hunting Forum I really like some of the prodigy setups but have a hard time talking myself into spending that much One could almost buy 2 boats for the prodigy price
Flat Bottom Mudmotors - Duck Hunting Forum I was wondering if any of you consider yourselves to be knowledge about the combination of mud motors and flat bottom hulls (or variations of such) Just from reading around on the forum, I have noticed that some people will say Brand XYZ is good for mud motors, but this boat and hull isn't I'm
SD or outboard - Duck Hunting Forum Im buying a duck boat before next season and I'm having a hard time deciding which kinda motor I want to go with I mainly hunt big lakes but also want to start hunting the Ga coast some starting next season I was thinking a 1754 or 1860 Prodigy or Gatortail boat with either a GTR37 w a stage
