REI vs Outlet : r hikinggear - Reddit REI brand items are solid in terms of quality, at least the ones I've used Some locations have garage sale type events, but mine didn't - heard those have some good deals though Usually if I'm going for cheapest I'll go for REI brand, and I have some concerns about outlet quality (have had some recent issues with Smart Wool)
