Most Impressive Synergy Module - The Gear Page Reg Plexi and Metroplex - not my forte playing and experience wise so take the low gain sound memory with a grain of salt Deliverance and Pittbull fully clean to mid high gain with easy (Deliverance has more gain saturation) Uberschall great for 80s high gain and more, not below that gain level
Friedman amps - explaining the different models - The Gear Page The "BE" (for "Brown Eye") is the modified Marshall plexi circuit that Friedman is best known for Of the bigger BE amps available now, the BE-100 Deluxe does three channels: plexi, BE and HBE The BE-50 Deluxe is the 50 watt version, but its lowest gain channel is based on the Friedman Buxom Betty’s clean (and not the plexi)
Friedman IR-D, IR-J or IR-X? - The Gear Page The IR-J is a "clean" Plexi channel and a JCM800 Modded channel So if you want an uber-clean and then pushed, the IR-D might be better as it's got the same tonality across the two channels The IR-J is perhaps more "versatile" at spanning genres They can be dialed in quite close, but the IR-D has a significant more amount of low end than the

Friedman Plex vs Smallbox 50? - The Gear Page In the Plex videos I’ve seen it seemed to get dirty early on its volume control Does the Smallbox have better (more gradual?) clean sounds? Is the Plex more like the Smallbox’s 2nd channel? Also, it seems strange that Friedman says in a video about the Plex that an effects loop will not work in a Plexi, but he put one in the Smallbox
POLL: Wampler Plexi Drive Mini or Barber Direct Drive? I've owned the Plexi mini and I currently have a Direct Drive v4 (as well as GC and CBU) and I voted for the Direct Drive They're both great, but I feel like the Barber is more flexible for different rigs mixes and it includes a killer mode where it plays like a JTM style amp (4-hole mode, upper right switch in the middle) that stacks beautifully
