Trip Report: Four (ish) days in Early May - Reddit Of course, it was no doubt different in different parts of the park Our Itinerary: Day 1 (Lake Quinault): Because our trip began in the Columbia River George, today we woke up in Portland
If you had a choice between Olympic NP and North Cascades . . . - Reddit Olympic NP if you only had to choose one I didn't see mention of it but Oly NP in addition to having rainforests and ocean views has some stunning mountains in the park that aren't too hard to get to for a good hiker Mt Olympus even has glaciers on it I think to really experience both Olympic and North Cascades NP you have to backpack them to understand them
Olympic vs Mt. Rainier : r NationalPark - Reddit What are you planning on doing while in the park? I think Olympic is a better tourist visit, as there are mountains, hot springs, waterfalls, a rainforest, an amazing lake and the coastline with dozens of great hikes all close to the car Rainier is largely alpine and will get you to a glacier with stunning mountain vistas
How many days would you recommend spending in Mt Rainer and Olympic . . . If possible I'd recommend driving down south to Oregon national parks after completing the majestic Olympic, Cascades and Mt Rainier The three capes by the coast, Columbia gorge area, Mt St Helens and Mt Hood were a treat !
