Site Locations - Henry Ford SandCastles SandCastles is grateful to serve the entire Metro Detroit area, covering approximately 2,000 square miles and 6 counties with our 4 program sites These are our site locations and the day each program meets:
- Henry Ford SandCastles Every year, our SandCastles Staff hosts our annual summer grief experience, and this year, we are back for an 2-night camp for 2025! Year-Round Program - Henry Ford SandCastles SandCastles Grief Support Program can provide a sanctuary of understanding, acceptance, and growth The giving and receiving of support provides a common ground for enduring one of the most painful journeys that can be taken: the journey through grief
Staff - Henry Ford SandCastles Peggy started SandCastles in 1997 and has built it up to the 8 sites we currently have today Peggy was instrumental in creating the Healing Hearts Camp, which merged with The Moyer Foundation in 2009 to become Camp Erin Detroit, and finally grew and branched off to become SandCastles Camp in 2019
SandCastles Alumni - Henry Ford SandCastles SandCastles Alumni is a group of former children or teens that participated in SandCastles Grief Support Program During our meetings we support each other as grieving young adults, brainstorm ways to support the SandCastles mission through sharing our stories, fundraising, and volunteering
