Is Surfline wildly wrong or am I just too stupid to understand the . . . So I’m trying to get better at forecasting conditions and reading surf reports I’ve been using Surfline frequently to check to forecast for various beaches in Japan and I noticed Surfline is wrong awfully often While it checks out for maybe 20-30% of the spots, the rest is all over the place To give you an example, Surfline reports a 14 2ft swell @ 13s resulting in 15-18 faces at one
Man, Fuck Surfline : r surfing - Reddit exactly surfline is basically a streaming service and on the day of swell I can check wind conditions across multiple local spots via the cams Theyir forecasts are so insanely bad and innaccurate since they updated, at least for my area

You gotta be a real kook to point out when Surfline is wrong I see people hating on Surfline pretty often, and I’m not sure if they realize how dumb they look It takes a real ignorance of how complicated forecasting is to blatantly point out every time it’s slightly off, as if you’re the first genius to point out the swell missed town or something
