Taking the Train from Lisbon to Sintra - Rick Steves 1 Train to Sintra from Lisbon is a local suburban train like S-bahn or Chicago Metra or LIRR or NJT or VRE or Septa You can certainly buy ticket at station or put some funds on Navigate Occasional card and zap through BUT, why bother? Especially with the hassles of getting from Sintra train station to Pena Palace? JUT USE Bolt or Uber

The question is: should we book an Airbnb in Lisbon and just take the train back and forth to Sintra on both days, or should we divide up and stay in Sintra for the first 2 nights and Lisbon for the next 3? Is there much to do and see in the evenings in Sintra? We are currently leaning toward staying in Lisbon for the entire 5 nights
