S W revolver question | M14 Forum Not all smiths had serial numbers in the crane area but the one on the butt of the frame ( often covered by after market grips ) is the serial number Assembly numbers ( no relation to serial ) in the crane is standard I have owned a ton of smiths and less than half had a serial number in the crane area
Super Match Smith Identification (Read Op Post First, Please) My understanding is that only a handful of smiths in the country would be able to build this rifle There are no markings on the heavy barrel, only markings I could find is the serial number in the stock channel Don't see anything on the heel or trigger to suggest it came out of GN's shop
