Company News:
  • Anyone have experience with Full Boar Splitters?
Most all of these splitters are similar with different colors and names I'd say the majority of parts are Chinese and the engine is probably a Honda clone In most instances the big difference is price and customer service if you need it The one company I have experience with is Champion, I have a generator and winch from them
  • Speeco 22 ton or 35 ton. | Hearth. com Forums Home
Wood splitters are on sale The 22 ton is $999, the 35 ton is $1499 The question I have is , would the 35 ton splitter last longer because it has a bigger ram, bigger engine and bigger pump The cycle time is 13 sec for the 22 ton and 14 for the 35 ton Close enough I really don't mind
  • Made the decision to buy a log splitter. . . which one
The 4-way wedge on the Yardmax might be an issue for some wood I haven't used that particular splitter, but many have reported that 4-way wedges on 22-ton splitters don't work so well in tough hardwoods Things tend to bog down
  • Thoughts on engine make and size for log splitter
These wants pushed me more toward the commercial splitters and a higher price then you want to pay, but I learned a few things while looking I do like Honda engines but it sounds like not too many problems with engines Make sure the engine is mounted aft of the splitting area so logs don't fall on it
  • Which Splitter? | Hearth. com Forums Home
Which 22-ton splitter should I go with, the Brave or the Iron Oak?
  • My opinion of the Champion 27 ton log splitter from Home Depot.
I have 2 splitters a 27 and a 20 ton and I use the 20 all year every year its faster with an 11 second cycle the 27 gets set up to split the larger rounds in the vertical position
  • 4-way wedge compatibility with splitter - Hearth. com Forums
Not certain if this is the correct forum Just purchased a Countyline 25 ton splitter and can't find any info regarding the use of a 4-way wedge on this model I understand some splitters aren't recommended to be used with a 4-way wedge Thanks
  • 40 ton County line Splitter from TSC. . . . owner feedback??
They no longer build splitters and is probably why TSC had to find another source for theirs The newer TSC County Line splitters are made by YTL International for TSC When I talked to the guy at YTL, he said TSC approached them to build a splitter to the specs they wanted It was like "build-a-bear" but instead "build-a-splitter"
  • Adding log lift kit to splitter | Hearth. com Forums Home
Hey guys, after hurting my back this weekend lifting logs on my log splitter I'm strongly considering adding a log lift to it My splitter is a 30 ton Northstar splitter, which can go vertical, but I do not like running it that way, and I find it to be really hard on the back as well
  • Task Force 5-ton electric splitter | Hearth. com Forums Home
Well I bit the bullet today and bought the Lowes Task Force 5-ton electric splitter today At 1st I was impressed how good it looked Then I ran some large splits that I had split by hand to a size I could pick up and carry The splitter did a pretty decent job especially if the grain was
