I removed the unit, plugged it into the charging cable provided and re-installed it When I pressed the doorbell button, my inside chime buzzed and then stopped working I took the plastic cover off the inside Nutone brand doorbell chime unit, and I saw that the spring and striker had popped out of place, and a plastic piece had melted
