Best way to finish apple wood - Woodcarving Illustrated Hi, Tom, I'm one of the few that likes to use BLO I don't Marinade the Piece in Blo, I put on a Good Coat and after about 20 Min I wipe it off, then let Dry over Night before adding a Finish or Paint I feel you should round the Edges before you do the Finish This would make it more Real Anchors and Ropes are Round Looking good
