Why am I so tempted to dip into Webers Signature Series? Looking at the Weber Sig Series and am confused on which one to go with (I have a Li'l Dawg Prince 5F2A circuit based on a tweed Princeton and have a 1x12 cab on hte way ) I don't want too bright thin I was considering Alnico but am open to all of the series I like the description of the Ceramic 12S - "Early breakup crunch and punch
‘57 Custom Champ, Modifications - Telecaster Guitar Forum Yeah, the Weber is a great sounding speaker, but the Jensen really sounds good in that little box, especially once broken in I’ve got about 50 or so hours on both speakers and the Jensen just sings
Jensen P10R Reissue or Weber 10A125? - The Gear Page Weber's smooth cones are considerably stiffer than the old very thin smooth cones and make for a much warmer and less distorted speaker Also a variety of ribbed cones for a range of sounds Also all sound warmer than a true old Jensen or Rola, but I do like them One of their 10A100 series would be the match for a P10R, or the alnico signature 10
Tweed Champ 8 speaker - Weber CVA8 or Alnico Sig? If you want more of the classic sweetness of the Champ the CVA8 is the speaker for it If you're wanting Jazzy warmth and don't wander into the speaker breakup range, then the Sig might be the better choice I want to get a Weber Alnico Blue Pup 8 and try that with the Champ, as well as build a JMI AC4
Weber mini-mass 50w attenuators, are they any good I just use a passive vol box in FX loop , but I could get the power tubes singing if I used an attenuator, is the 50w mini mass any good or are there
Recone, Repair, or Replace Vintage Jensen 8 - Telecaster Guitar Forum If not, then store the originals and install a set of brand new Weber or WGS speakers Myself, I would probably do both I would recone and or rebuild the bad speaker as a first step Even if I ended up installing four brand new speakers instead, I would want to have four working originals in storage
Weber Mini Mass Attenuator Speaker Loads - The Gear Page Some years back I bought a 50W Weber Mini Mass Attenuator just because I was curious and it was inexpensive On his web site, was this statement: Ted's Tip For Today With all Weber attenuators, once you have selected the proper impedance to match the output impedance of the amp, the actual speaker impedance isn't critical
The truth about ChampMods | Telecaster Guitar Forum Bluedawg, if the Weber mod is just lifting the negative feedback circuit and tone stack, how is that $6? Aren't you just removing a couple of connections? [ quote] No,you need to add a couple resistors, and a couple capacitors Also,if you wish to slow the Vibrato speed down, you add another capacitor
Tone King Ironman Mini II - The Gear Page Alex attenuator (years ago), Captor X (2x), Weber minimass (years ago), Suhr RL+IR (once standalone, once in Suhr PT15-IR), UAD OX, Fryette Powerstation 2 (2x) and the Synergy has a DI out as well
General Impressions of Weber 12F150 - Telecaster Guitar Forum The Weber is a very bright and brash sounding speaker, which I was able to tame by rolling back the treble to 5-6, and boosting the bass a little I'm going to leave it in for a while, play a few gigs with it, see how it goes Right now I'm kind of thinking that the Jensen is the better speaker, more weight, bigger voice coil, etc
