No valvespring shims? - Yellow Bullet Forums Obviously, you have to have shims between the springs and the heads if the heads are aluminum, but what if the heads are iron? Will the springs still hole-saw their way through iron heads? If you need shims with iron heads, what's the minimum acceptable thickness?
