[SOLVED] - Zero Crossing Detector Circuit Evaluation Hi, Old circuit idea for ZCD, I wanted to see if it could actually be used in the real world (and how to go from sim-world AC generator version to a practical implementation) Would appreciate objective comments on circuit design mistakes, reasons why it couldn't work as desired, and or things
Accurate mains zero cross detector circuit without optocoupler Hi, We need an accurate mains zero crossing detector, but cannot use "wear-out" components such as opto-couplers Do you agree that the attached circuit will be very good?, since it uses matched transistors, and also has Base_collector diodes to sweep out the minority carriers quickly The
[SOLVED] - Negative peak detector Vout incorrect when attached to ZCD . . . When I connect the peak detector circuit to a zero crossing detector circuit - the ZCD is there so as to discharge the peak value capacitors periodically - the negative peak value is no longer reaching -1V, it only goes to ~340mV, as can be seen from the second schematic and transient results below
Zero crossing detector in PIC16F18856 - Forum for Electronics On the diagram on page 315 of micro datasheet, there appear to be two current sources which act sop as to regulate the ZCD pin to 0 75V Is this true? Presumably at the zero crossing, the current sources cannot regulate the ZCD pin to 0 75V, and therefore it drops below 0 75V, and then the comparator trips to flag up the zero crossing…that is the modus operandi?
L6562 PFC controller with constant off time. . . arming voltage of the ZCD . . . However, the ZCD pin voltage must rise above 1 4V so that the ZCD pin is again “armed” –But supposing that the ZCD pin has not risen above 1 4V when the current sense threshold is breached (this would happen when ON time was short) What would happen in this case The attached is a LTspice simulation of the Constant off time circuit
ZCD (Zero Crossing Detector) Module Functionality. Why should ZCD reset the processor? On page 350 you have a picture of ZDC and from it it is perhaps clear what it does If you don't use the ZCD, it turns it off, but why do you apply AC voltage to it if you don't want to use it? Maybe it would be best to write about what you are trying to do, how you are involved and what it does to you?
ZCD How to determine the safe difference between the true zero and the . . . As a 230V ZDC I use this resectively modified version for 230V, see picture Main advantages of the detector, isolated and self-consumption of 100mW Falling edge precedes passage 0 and my question is whether, or how exactly, can it be determined (estimated) by how much? However, I would need
Mains zero cross circuit | Forum for Electronics Hi, We need a zero cross circuit which gives a falling edge 430us + -50us before the zero cross The attached is the best we can come up with Do you have better? Its for 100VAC + -15% LTspice and jpeg attached
Help me make a cheap ZCD with 220V AC lines | Forum for Electronics Hello, I wish to make a cheap ZCD for 220V AC Mains lines This is require for my isolated TRIAC firing I would require the output of this ZCD to be in 5V range and it should be able to detect both rising and Falling edges The PC817 Solution is elegant but requires 2 circuits to make a full
